Top 5 Non Ghostly Books That Haunt Me

Hello everyone! Great to see you again. It's been a while since I posted a review. I was so busy last week with stuffs at work. It left me tired and all I want is to rest. So, let's talk about something bookish, a list maybe? Here's I've written about books that are not easy to forget and still haunts my mind (for years). Here they are :

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

Click here for review. Every time I saw this title being mentioned, my heart breaks instantly. It's a very powerful book, so depressing it's good. It teaches me one precious thing about life : to always be grateful, no matter what. There are so many people who are less fortunate than us, I believe I would  not survive survive in the same situation with two women in this book.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Click here for review. I read this book just a few weeks ago and finished the movie yesterday. Both books and the movie are beautifully hunting. The book is so powerful along with its visually magnificent movie make it a better reading experience. If you've read the book, I beg you to please see the screen version. It's one of the best film adaptation I've seen!

Roseflower Creek by Jacky Lee Miles

Click here for review. I bet many of you didn't really know about this book. Yes, I think it's one of the most underrated book ever. Seriously, I have no clue why it's not that famous while may so so books get the hype! It's a heartbreaking story told from a dead young girl point of view. Though it's a sad tale, the ending was very satisfactory, I still remember smiling when I read the last page.

Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield

Click here for review. This is a no brainer. I love every bits of it, even the devastating part. It's the first historical fiction novel by the author and the fact that she could write this book without "awkward" stuff is simply amazing. It's a heartbreaking story of Japanese American citizens post Pearl Harbor, where they were being sent to a camp for political reason.

One Hundrer Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Click here for review. I am still mourning for Marquez. This particular book made me believe in my reading skill. It was hard to digest at first, in fact it's not an easy book to begin with, One Hundred Years of Solitude made me fall in love with magical realism. A very rewarding read, if you ask me. I finished it during traveling and it created a more memorable journey for me.

Alrighty folks, that's a wrap! I find those books to be impossible to forget. Once you finished them, they'll stick on your memory like super glue. Have you read any of these books? Do you have an unforgettable books of your own? Tell me about it!
