I would love to recommend The Dragon Next Door, this is a webtoon that had published into a book, so no need to read it in Naver. Very funny, full of hullabalo and stress-reliever
For your question, no reason, the chicken just want to cross it and the universe still don't have any idea why the chicken want to cross the road, while it's so simple. Okay, I know my answer is so absurd, haha :) )

I haven't read too many comedy like books, you know. If I think about it. But generally I do like Sophie Kinsella and her characters can get themselves in quite a few pickles :D
