7 Things I Am Grateful Of

I believe it is time to post something positive. I have done enough rant, and of course too much rant is not good for my self nor this blog. You wouldn't want to read too much rant, too, would you? Well, let's talk about things that you are grateful of. Fell free to add your own list on the comment section. Let's start with me!

#1 I am grateful for my job
Nowadays sustainable jobs are hard to find and to be honest, I have this hate-love relationship with my job. I hate it because it's tad boring, monotonous and takes too much of my time, but on the other hand, I (have to) love it because it brings food to the table. There are times when I just want to scream out loud because I feel like I've had enough of it. Despite of this roller coaster feelings it gives me, I am grateful for my job. It pays the bill and it pays for my hobby and that at least, what keeps me sane.

#2 I am grateful for our home
Nothing fancy about it, it's not a castle nor a mansion. Frankly, it's a small house. Still, it keeps us from the heat of the sun and the cold of the rain. It is also our sanctuary where we cuddle and shower each other with love. The most important thing is, it's ours.

#3 I am grateful for my lack of free time
This seems odd, but it is true. I saw a lot of people with too much time of their hands and end up ruining their own life (as well as others'). Unless you are a very productive people, having too much time can do you more harm than good. Think about unemployed people, they are prone to depressions, stress and self pity. There's truth in the old saying "go out and make yourself busy". Having lack of free time teaches me how valuable time is, which I believe is even more valuable than money.

#4 I am grateful because I can be myself
I live in a supportive environment where I am free to be myself. There's no need to pretend something I am not and I don't have to impress anyone because we understand each other already. I can't imagine that some unfortunate people have to act up just be accepted and I am grateful because my life isn't something like that.

#5 I am grateful for small things that make me happy
They don't seem important, but they help a great deal in bringing myself into a better mood. Books, my cup of coffee, the internet, the morning sun's warmth, even the smell of clean bedsheets. Well, the list goes on and on. Those small things teach me that happiness starts from your own heart and you will be happy only if you allow yourself to be.

#6 I am grateful for my annoying PMS
This is the weirdest from this list. My irritating PMS tells me that I am not perfect and I can be such a cow to be with when it's with me. So, whenever I see a grumpy person, I see myself dealing with my cycle, even though I'd be more grateful if there isn't PMS in the first place.

... and the last but not least ...

#7. I am grateful for my family
... so this hard work of mine belongs to them. They're my cure when I am physically and mentally tired. It's a wonderful feeling watching your kids grow and learn something new. Seeing them smile is the greatest thing of all, it's as if the whole burden on my shoulder has been lifted off. They are simply the reason I need to stay strong.
