Have readable post
It's a shame that sometimes I find great blogs with cool contents with unreadable texts. What good is a cool post if your readers can't read it? They visit your blog for that reason, so help them with that. A white background with dark text color is the best choice if you don't want to hurt your reader's eyes. If white is too boring for you, choose other pale colors and make the text dark. Neon colors are only cool for nail polish but it's a big no no for your blog's page text.
Font choice also plays an important part in making the post readable. Arial is one of the easiest to read on the web, but I know some of us are kind of bored with it, so play around with other readable fonts. I am a fan of sans serif fonts because of its simplicity and readability. Use fancy fonts, if you must, but limit
them only to certain parts of your blog. Post title of sidebar title,
maybe, not the whole page texts.
Yes, you read it right! Music is cool, it soothes me, to be honest but the problem is, it's very subjective. What sounds cool to you, may sounds like a thunder to others. Plus, you never know from where people are accessing your blog. Some people read blogs at work (don't judge, I think many of us have done that), imagine how awkward would it be when suddenly a loud Linkin Park song echoes throughout the entire room?
So, maybe keep your playlist to yourself, that way you wouldn't need to worry about bothering you readers' ear. Need I say that those tunes could also interfere with your blog's speed? That's the last thing you want in this world, if you ask me.
3. Make it easy to navigate
Okay, it's time for me to be honest. There's nothing I hate more in this blogging world other that blogs that are impossible to navigate. I can't find the "follow" button, I don't know where to locate your social media links, it's annoying. Really, your blog is not a hide and seek playground, so if you think you can make it more interactive that way, it wouldn't work. When people are (literally) lost in your blog, they wouldn't bother coming back.
Now, make sure you put all the important gadgets and navigation bar in a place where they're noticeable. Your readers are your guests, make them as comfortable as you can. They take their time to read what you are saying, it's only fair for you to do that, right *winks*
Alright, folks, that's a wrap! I hope this blogging mini series helps you. The last but not least, let's say a little prayer for the MH370 passengers and their families. May God give them comfort and strength during this difficult time.
See you at the next post!
