I am new user on Net Galley where I get e-books for review. How To Slay A Dragon got me interested. You know, to me somehow the tittle sounds familiar. Yes, the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" is what I'm talking about. I watched it last year and I was so impressed. Did this book impress me as well?

Oh my God! It sure did!

This novel is indeed beyond my expectation. It is fun to read, wit, and adventurous! A good combo for an exciting dragon slaying story. What makes it even better is the hero. He's only a kid, 12 years old of age and knows nothing about fighting a dragon. The dialogues are humorous, they really made my day. I cannot tell you how many times I found myself giggling while reading How To Slay A Dragon.

Greg Hart is a kid who is stuck in another world. He cannot go home until he does what the prophecy says, to slay a dragon. The problem is, he's a coward boy who cannot even handle his bully. However, the people of the other world put so much hope on him, even the king is very sure he's going to beat the dragon, just as the prophecy says.

Being a not so cool kid makes Greg Hart an interesting character. I kept on turning the pages to see what happens next. My heart beat fast when he finally meets the dragon. The author did a great job by giving it a sweet ending and even though this is a young adult book, it's also enjoyable for adult readers.

If you a fantasy fan by all means add How To Slay A Dragon to your to-read list. If you are just looking for something light and funny, this book is also a must read. 5 rating for this book, without a doubt!
