I watched the movie Tinker Bell last year and was very impressed. But I think I wasn't lucky enough to watch the next movies of Tink and when I found out that there was a novel version of the movie, I felt relief. Oh, finally I get to know the next adventure of Tink, yay!
The fairies are busy because it's summer, the season that everyone's waiting for! They go through a long journey all the way from Pixie Hollow to the mainland to prepare the new season. As all of you may already know, Tink is a very curious fairy, she loves wandering around and when she found something attracts her, she has to find out how it works. One day, Tink was trapped in a doll house and caught by a human little girl. Now Vidia and the other fairies has to rescue her, before anything bad happens.
Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is a fast, but fun read. The description is very simple but it's clear enough for young readers to interpret the whole story. I think it's a good book for children who want to start reading novels. The chapters aren't long and it also has some cliff hangers to keep the readers excited. I also like how the book describes Vidia. Well, I know she can be a bit better and so full of her self sometimes, but she's actually a good person, I mean fairy. She made mistakes, she has the courage to spill it out and apologize and she does anything she could to save Tink. A friend in need is a friend indeed, right?
I know I may not be the targeted reader or audience for this book, but I still think that Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is a real entertainer. Yes, I have read it, but if I had the chance to watch the movie, I would say yes, without a second thought. Sometimes we have to feed our inner child, just to remind ourselves that we once were innocent *winks*
4 rating for this book (I'd give it 5 if the ending weren't to rushed though) and I recommend it for those of you who want to encourage reading for your children, students, nephew and nieces etc, or maybe you want to read it yourself, just because *giggles*.
I think I am officially a fan of Disney fairies, are you too?
